We are looking for a Parts Washer/Hand Finisher, supporting the Night Shift reporting into the Operations Manager, to join the team. Location: Boeing Sheffield, United Kingdom.
Shift: Night Shift (United Kingdom)
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring parts are washed or hand finished to the correct standard
- Working in line with production requirements and priorities
- Visual inspection of parts for defects
- Using computer systems to book completion of jobs
- Working safely with minimal supervision
- Ensure correct benching of components, including removal of sharp edges, cleaning of holes, use of orbital sanders, and hand de-burring to drawing and SOP requirements
- Ensure finishing of components to achieve 'as drawn' features
- Part mark or identify product as per specifications/instructions provided
- Work with minimum supervision following instruction
- Initiative in time management and method
- Significant levels of concentration required
- Good verbal communicator
- Versatility and flexibility to support job requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a parts wash or hand finish role, in a manufacturing environment, or experience of cleaning to a required standard
- Working knowledge of specifications, SOPs and Work Instructions
- Relevant experience or an industry qualification demonstrating use of power/air tools and bench/fettle processes
- Demonstration of basic numeracy to read measuring equipment
