Support Integration Specialist to support existing Boeing product platforms, mainly Fixed and Rotor Wing aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop bid and proposal activity in support of the new Rotary Wing Enterprise (RWE) contract and wider BDUK activity.
  • Lead the creation of basis of estimates and other change management process documentation in support of the engineering function.
  • Review program and engineering change proposals and assess the impact to the engineering function and wider program.
  • Conduct tasks to identify, collate, analyse, document and provide coherent and actionable data information relevant to the BDUK engineering function.
  • Create, lead and deliver presentations in support of change action both internally and externally.
  • Liaise with all aspects of the engineering function in both BDUK and USA to glean and/or provide data and information to support their tasks and activities.
  • Ensure Data Governance and Data Assurance is maintained, and deliver Data Integrity and Data Quality.
  • Identify and progress Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Work as directed by the BDUK chief engineer and respective platform chief engineers.
  • You may also get the opportunity to work on a variety of other programmes, business development opportunities and contribute to engineering excellence across the company as part of your ongoing career development with Boeing.

Essential Qualifications

  • Essential to be able to obtain UK SC security clearance.
  • Experience of bid activity, the creation of basis of estimates and the ability to back proposals with data.
  • Experience of program management, ideally with a focus on defence.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant STEM subject.
  • The ability to justify a requirement for change based on data analysis and sound engineering principles.
  • The ability to lead and present proposals to senior leadership and customer representatives.
  • Some understanding of Support Engineering in the Military environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus for detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ideally registered with the UK Engineering council at the IEng or CEng level.
