The Senior MRO System Support Lead will act as the primary technical and functional lead for the MRO system environment supporting aircraft maintenance operations. This role provides expert-level support for the current system and will play a key leadership role in the transition to Siemens Opcenter. The position requires deep knowledge of aircraft MRO processes, military aircraft parts and configurations, and the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple engineering, maintenance, supply chain, quality, and IT teams. This position does not offer relocation; candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first and second line of support for the MRO system used by maintenance and support teams.
- Provide expert guidance on aircraft MRO business processes, including maintenance planning, parts traceability, work package support, material status, and records control.
- Support the effective use of GOLD MRO and contribute to future Siemens Opcenter implementation, migration, testing, and training activities. Training will be provided on both tool-sets.
- Diagnose and resolve complex functional issues, escalating as necessary.
- Coordinate across operations, supply chain, engineering, quality, and IT teams to ensure system issues and process gaps are resolved efficiently.
- Ensure accurate handling of aircraft parts information, including traceability, configuration control, and compliance considerations.
- Support user access, system data integrity, process adherence, and operational readiness.
- Assist in defining system requirements, validating changes, and testing enhancements or upgrades.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, FAQs, and support guides.
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members and end users.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of MRO processes and system use.
- Support data quality, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions related to system or process issues.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in aircraft MRO operations and/or MRO system support.
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance processes, planning, material flow, and technical records.
- Deep knowledge of aircraft parts, part traceability, and military or civilian aviation maintenance requirements.
- Experience supporting enterprise systems used in MRO or manufacturing environments.
- Strong ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into system/process solutions.
- Proven experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and resolving cross-functional issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and support users at different levels.
- Strong problem-solving capability and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Experience supporting system implementations or migrations is highly desirable.
- Strong experience with an enterprise capable MRO platform.
- Exposure to Siemens Opcenter, GOLDesp MRO or similar MES/MRO solutions would be preferable but not essential.
- Background in aerospace, defence, or military/civil aviation environments.
- Familiarity with configuration management, material management, and aircraft technical records.
- Experience in process improvement, change management, or user training.
