Are you ready to take the lead in executing complex commodity strategies and managing sourcing activities across multiple categories? We are looking for a dynamic Senior Sourcing Manager to drive strategic negotiations, develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies, and engage with multi-category business units. You'll manage relationships with multiple suppliers, provide strategic input, and collaborate with Global Category Management to optimize global spend and reduce costs. This is a hybrid role based across our Pirbright manufacturing site and Bracknell Head Office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Spend Management and Consolidation: Partner with Global Category Management to refine global Commodity Strategies, ensuring innovative solutions and local market intelligence are at the forefront. Bring cutting-edge ideas to Boehringer Ingelheim, leveraging regional expertise to support the consolidation roadmap. Ensure regional and local needs are seamlessly integrated into the Sourcing Strategy, implementing complex Commodity Strategies at the local level. Create and optimize Sourcing Cards, document savings, and identify efficiencies to streamline sourcing activities. Drive projects across categories to achieve automation, spend consolidation, and supplier optimization, maximizing the use of Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and Frame Services Agreements (FSAs). Initiate and lead efforts to optimize sourcing processes, leveraging market opportunities and innovative tools.
- Business Partnering: Promote and drive the Strategic Sourcing vision, aligning priorities with business partners to achieve advanced Excellence in Sourcing. Actively engage with business partners across departments, setting joint targets and aligning sourcing projects with broader business objectives. Understand business strategies and demand forecasts to proactively drive sourcing improvements.
- Supplier and Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage risks across multiple commodities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and mitigating disruptions. Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers, driving innovation and cost savings through spend and multi-commodity negotiations. Conduct Business Review meetings and governance sessions with critical suppliers, focusing on market intelligence and innovation while mapping and evaluating sourcing risks.
- Degree or Post-graduate degree with a major focus: Business Administration, Live Science, Economics, Project Management, Accounting, Finance or IT.
- MCIPS qualified or studying towards is preferable.
- Manufacturing or Engineering Sourcing experience is preferred.
- Experienced Senior Sourcing Manager with 5 to 10 years of experience in category management, procurement, or a related field, with an advanced knowledge of strategic leadership and supplier management.
