The Head of Launch Excellence, Inflammation is responsible for ensuring launch readiness and launch excellence, driving executional excellence at national/account level, and maximising effectiveness of the Inflammation cross-functional field teams. The role ensures that account planning, cross‑functional execution and launch delivery are fully integrated, consistently applied and performance‑driven. Acting as a senior cross-functional leader, the role collaborates with the Franchise Leadership Team to prepare all cross-functional teams (with primary focus on field teams) for successful launches and sustained post‑launch execution. This is a contract position for 12 months, requiring 2 days per week at Head office (Bracknell).

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Account Planning & Execution Excellence: Work with the field leads and the Cx team to continuously evolve the account planning framework and support them in ensuring high‑quality, actionable and insight‑driven account plans across priority accounts. Together with Cx team, create framework for the field leads to ensure disciplined tracking and review of account plan progress and outcomes.
  • Lunch Readiness & Launch Excellence: Coordinate launch readiness programme reviews, ensuring all cross‑functional elements are in place ahead of launch. Define, manage and maintain launch trackers, and readiness dashboards. Monitor early launch execution and performance, identifying gaps and driving rapid course‑correction. Collaborate and support functional leads to enable the orchestration between Sales, Marketing, Medicine, Market Access and other functions at national and at account level.
  • Field team Effectiveness: Partner closely with Field Leadership to strengthen capability, mindset and behaviours required for complex account environments. Lead the sales training input related to account planning, launch readiness and executional excellence (in partnership with L&D). Use data and performance insights to identify capability gaps and drive continuous improvement. Support the field leads in raising standards of account execution and customer engagement and defining ways of working for high‑impact key account management.
  • Key launch event planning and execution: Lead planning and execution for key launch events. Ensure that agendas, sessions, speakers and training are in line with the development objectives of the franchise, with a particular focus on cross-functional field teams.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Track record in launch readiness and launch excellence.
  • Strong sales background with demonstrable field sales experience.
  • Proven sales management experience, including leading and developing commercial teams.
  • Experience in sales training and capability development.
  • Deep understanding of key account management and account planning in complex healthcare markets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and insights to drive performance.
