We are now hiring an E‑Retail Category & Trade Marketing Manager within Animal Health in the UK. This role plays a key part in driving e‑retail channel performance, leading the development and execution of promotional, trade marketing and category initiatives across pure‑play e‑commerce and retailer .com customers. Working in close collaboration with Category, Trade Marketing, Sales and wider cross‑functional teams, the role delivers insights, develops activation plans, manages budgets and drives the online shopper journey - supporting brand visibility, customer engagement and commercial growth across priority brands.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- E‑Retail Strategy & Shopper Journey: Develop and manage the e‑retail shopper journey, providing insights to brand and sales teams to inform marketing and customer plans aligned with brand priorities. Lead the development of the overall promotional strategy for online customers, ensuring visibility and discoverability of key brands.
- Activation Planning & Execution: Own the activation calendar and manage end‑to‑end activation plans for pure‑play and retailer .com customers. Create and update trade and customer‑specific toolkits aligned with brand strategy and retailer objectives. Oversee production of e‑retail and customer‑specific materials.
- Category & Trade Marketing Initiatives: Assist in developing and implementing category management activities, including presentations, recommendations and online execution. Support broader marketing initiatives aligned with annual business plans.
- Budget Management: Manage the Trade Marketing budget, ensuring accurate planning, allocation and tracking of spend.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Category & Trade Marketing, Franchise, Brand, Sales, Customer Excellence, Technical Advisors, Regulatory, and global colleagues. Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers to support business targets. Work with agencies and global partners as required.
- Insights, Market Analysis & Communication: Deliver insights through analysis of business, customer and market data. Communicate key market and customer information to stakeholders to support decision‑making and evolving strategic plans.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all materials and activities comply with relevant marketing regulations (e.g., NOAH) and internal guidelines. Manage role‑related queries and issues for defined e‑retail customers in line with corporate goals and local brand plans.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: University degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Skills & Experience: Strong commercial focus and experience in e‑commerce or retailer .com trade/customer marketing (Amazon experience is an advantage). Demonstrated success in category management, including launches, merchandising and consumer promotions. Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines. Strong understanding of financials, budgeting and promotional ROI. Knowledge of e‑retail and customer marketing channels, tactics and their strengths/limitations. Highly creative, proactive and able to take initiative. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Experience navigating multiple stakeholders and managing external partners/agencies. Ability to interpret market insights and translate them into actionable plans.
