THE POSITION This role serves as a strategic Finance Business Partner to the Regional Operating Unit (ROPU) and Business Unit Executive Committees, providing financial leadership, transparency, and challenge to drive sound decision‑making. The position leads regional Controlling for ASEAN, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand (ASKAN) ensuring effective planning, reporting, governance, and continuous improvement, while standardizing and harmonizing Controlling processes across Operating Units (OPUs) and business units to maximize return on investment and commercial performance.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Finance Business Partnering & Strategy - Act as a key Finance partner to ROPU, BU leadership, and the commercial organization - Provide financial and strategic guidance to enable informed business decisions - Identify risks, opportunities, trends, and performance improvement areas
- Planning & Performance Management - Translate ROPU targets into OPU targets and set clear financial cornerstones - Provide planning guidance and challenge assumptions across OPUs - Ensure alignment between financial plans, market data, and business models - Consolidate planning documentation, commentary, and executive presentations
- Management Reporting & Analysis - Monitor, analyze, and challenge financial performance and key KPIs - Review gross‑to‑net reporting and ensure consistency and transparency - Deliver ROPU‑specific management reports, analyses, and executive insights - Ensure compliance with corporate reporting requirements
- Controlling Excellence & Governance - Lead and develop the ASKAN ROPU and OPU Controlling organization - Drive standardization and harmonization of Controlling processes regionally - Support market, pricing, sales force, and business case evaluations - Coordinate financial due diligence and program effectiveness assessments
- People Leadership - Build and lead a high‑performing regional Controlling team - Drive performance management, talent development, and succession planning - Foster coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing across the region
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 8-10 years of finance and controlling background in a multinational company
- Solid knowledge of Controlling, with experience in finance systems, processes, and governance
- Broad finance exposure (accounting, tax, treasury, compliance) is preferred
- Proven leadership experience in people management and cross‑functional or regional projects
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior leaders and non‑finance stakeholders
- Agile, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multicultural, and changing environment
- Independent, structured, and improvement‑oriented mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- International experience or exposure in regional/global roles is an advantage
