The IT Business Partner acts as a strategic partner between regional business functions and global IT teams, supporting the Head of IT for South East Asia, South Korea, Australia & New Zealand. This role is responsible for demand management, business consultancy, and end-to-end program/project leadership across key departments such as Finance, Purchasing, Law, HR, and Supply Chain.
Through close collaboration with business stakeholders, the incumbent identifies and analyses business needs, negotiates scope and requirements, and facilitates connections between business and IT to deliver innovative, technology-enabled solutions. The role also leads major initiatives—such as Digital Finance and Group Functions Community—ensuring alignment with business goals and global IT strategies.
This position requires strong business acumen, project management expertise, and relationship-building skills to drive operational excellence and innovation across the region.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Business Consultancy: Consistently plays a pivotal role in IT-related business decisions through direct and department-based engagement of clients at all levels in multiple business domains. Demonstrates and teaches a deep understanding of multiple business domains, including all business processes, and the interactions between these business domains. Consistently brings value to the business through an acknowledged recognition of client needs and corresponding IT solutions in multiple business domains. Communicates with clients in business terms. Actively moderates demand management process and project initiation between business departments and supporting IT teams.
- Project & Program Management: Independently plans, organizes and manages internal and external resources to achieve the goals and objectives of small and large scaled projects. Supports implementation of global compliance initiatives.
- Demand Management: Leads and manages liaison functions between the business and all providers of technical services. In close partnership with senior business stakeholders, manages the process and resources to consistently influence, match and prioritize complex demands on multiple IT services to maximize value to the business.
- Compliance: Responsible for compliance of IT processes, services, with local and global guidelines, laws and regulations within the area of responsibility. Responsible for consolidation of IT activities within the Operating Unit (OPU) &/or Region. Drive deployment of GFS solution capabilities within the OPU/Region. Responsible for communication of IT GFS Strategy in the Region. Foster a respective, supportive and conducive working environment for all stakeholders within the region.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a Technical IT background, or equivalent years of relevant experience; a Master’s degree with a focus on Business Administration is an advantage.
- Project Management Certification (IPMA, PMI) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience across various IT roles.
- Hands-on working experience with SAP technology.
- Experience in partnering with senior stakeholders is an advantage.
- Experience in a multi-cultural set-up is preferred.
- Strong foundation in and a thorough understanding of methodologies for system design, development, and implementation; all phases of the Project Implementation lifecycle; validation and regulatory requirements.
- Must be informed on current and new technologies & their applicability to the business.
- Solid understanding of ITagonia tools (e.g. RPA, Digital workplace) and Reporting tools.
- A deep understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate.
- Strong business process knowledge, and a demonstrated capability to apply technology solutions in addressing complex, global business issues.
- Strong communication skills, and strong relationship development and management capabilities in a global setting.
- Language skills in English is a must have.
