The Technical Manager Veterinary Public Health (VPH) and Ruminants leads the regional technical implementation of the Veterinary Public Health and Ruminant species strategy across ROPU ASEAN, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand (ASKAN), under the strategic direction of the ROPU ASKAN Business Segment Head VPH and Ruminants. The role serves as the regional scientific authority for Veterinary Public Health and Ruminants, providing technical leadership, scientific guidance, and expert support to internal teams, key customers, and external stakeholders. This position drives the generation and application of scientific data, supports national disease control programs, ensures alignment with regulatory and market developments, and enables strong collaboration across commercial, technical, and regulatory functions. Through engagement with key opinion leaders, government authorities, and industry partners, the Technical Manager ensures consistent, high-quality technical execution that supports business objectives, customer satisfaction, and long-term sustainability of the VPH and Ruminants portfolio.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the ROPU ASKAN VPH and Ruminants strategy in close collaboration with the Business Segment Head.
- Provide regional technical expertise and support to internal technical teams, commercial colleagues, and key customers, including Key Accounts.
- Support product launches by contributing technical input, scientific data, and customer-facing materials aligned with brand and marketing strategies.
- Act as a trusted technical partner to ROPU country teams by supporting the resolution of escalated technical issues and complex customer inquiries.
- Lead and deliver technical training, scientific communication, and knowledge sharing across ROPU countries for assigned products and disease areas.
- Initiate, coordinate, and oversee field, marketing, and post-marketing studies, translating outcomes into scientific publications and market-relevant insights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), represent the organization at scientific meetings and congresses, and contribute to the regional KOL engagement strategy.
- Serve as the regional technical liaison with Corporate Strategic Business Units, regulatory authorities, and internal pharmacovigilance teams.
- Monitor competitor activities, scientific trends, and regulatory developments to support technical positioning and informed decision-making.
Requirements
- Degree in Veterinary Science required; Veterinarian with experience in the Animal Health industry.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Technical Veterinarian in livestock.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with testing, analysis, interpreting results are an asset.
- Strong business mindset; In-depth technical knowledge of relevant clinical areas and capable of managing a substantial amount of scientific information.
- Experience working with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)/Thought Leaders.
- High integrity and ethical standards.
- Flexibility, open to change, adapts to the changing situations, and with cultural sensitivity.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Good listening skills, strong communicator.
- Self-supporting, takes initiative, autonomous.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
