Position Summary
Based in Ipswich, MA, the Heat Treater will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Production Manager to meet customer specifications, including assisting other employees as needed.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintains the shipping and receiving area as needed.
- Assists with loading and unloading trucks. Schedules truck shipments, UPS, and FedEx as needed.
- Interacts with customers as needed to clarify or communicate discrepancies and schedules.
- Inspects and records incoming and outgoing orders for count, damage, dates, etc.
- Bring any irregularities or other discrepancies/concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping.
- Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
- This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers’ inventory and, as such, will perform duties safely and responsibly to prevent customer loss or damage.
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.

- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders.
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience in computer applications, including Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to learn new software programs related to the function.
- Some shipping experience desired.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
Physical & Mental Demands
- Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time (at desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an industrial environment.
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
