We are looking to recruit a Good In/Goods Out Operator to ensure the daily production schedule for incoming and outgoing customer orders is met efficiently and on time. The role involves maintaining an organised and effective Goods In/Out storage area and overseeing the transport of customer goods from delivery through to dispatch across the plant.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining, improving and promoting a world class H&S environment in all plant areas. Safety first and foremost
  • Transport of customer goods to/from vehicles, to/from the Goods In/Out storage area, and to/from processing equipment
  • Identification and safe handling of customer product
  • Professional attitude to customer representatives on site
  • When necessary, inform customers their goods are ready for collection and arrange 3rd party logistics to deliver to the client
  • Ensure parts are packed safely and according to instructions
  • When available to prepare customers components for processing, make up and breakdown
  • Ensuring paperwork is completed to site and UK Quality Management Systems procedures
  • Maintain good working practices, workplace organisation (5S) in line with Company health, safety, environmental and quality systems

Qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Good level basic education
  • Computer literate
  • Self-motivated, highly organised, with ability to problem solve
  • High level of attention to detail
  • FLT Licence required
