About Body Talks Movement CIC

We are an ambitious, growing Community Interest Company (CIC) delivering innovative dance-film programmes for children and young people. We help children find their voices through movement using film to record their dances and connect with other BTM participants nationally and globally. Our work spans schools, SEND settings, and community organisations across the UK, alongside the creation of films and large-scale audio/visual installations in public spaces and galleries. Our approach combines creative dance, filmmaking, and trauma-informed practice to support children’s wellbeing, confidence, and emotional expression—helping them discover what their bodies already know how to do: move, express, connect, and heal.

Qualifications required:

  • Degree or above in related areas (Arts, Film & Events Production, Business Management).

Experience required:

  • Programme Management (arts, film, or events)
  • Ability to manage multiple moving parts and find solutions under pressure
  • Communicate with clarity, empathy, and a positive mindset
  • Strong organisational and logistical skills
  • Competent in office and operational software systems
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions within the job specification
  • Comfortable with Networking and able to generate interest

Role Overview:

The Programme Manager will be responsible for the general management of all elements of the BTM programme. They will ensure everything regarding BTM activities is running efficiently and everyone involved is coordinating smoothly and facilitating each other. This includes:

  • Organising workshops in schools
  • Create & communicate Schedules, monitor timelines, manage budgets & programme delivery
  • Taking a lead in organising film shoots, for workshops and interviews, including scheduling, communications with crew, equipment hire & sponsorship, insurance, necessary permissions, and post production management.
  • Co-ordination of Teacher Training with schools, trainees, Dr Terry Sweeting & Artistic Director
  • Co-ordination of Case Study with Researchers, School, Interviews and Survey Collection
  • Co-ordination of film screening for BTM participants, friends and families at Electric Palace Cinema, Harwich - inc travel sponsorship for Newham participants
  • Planning & Managing event at National Gallery Nov 6th 2026, with film screening, panel discussion and live demonstration.
  • Ensure all activity aligns with safeguarding and trauma-informed practice
  • Employment Contracts & Onboarding
  • Make sure CIC governance, Data Protection & compliance is on track
  • Marketing & Communications Support BTM audience development and growth across the UK
  • PR - Co-ordinate with Press, initiating opportunities
  • Co-ordinating with BTM Social Media Lead for website and inst, LinkedIn & Tik Tok feeds
  • Coordinating with the Artistic Director to make sure social media content is provided and aligned (film clips, idea & event documentation)
  • Co-ordinating with Social Media Editor - making sure all done on time for posts
  • Creating Presentations and Decks for Partners, Funders, Audience and Press
  • Updating Website.

Contract:

This is a 7 month contract for 3 days a week with the option to be extended. There will be a review of the contract after 2 months and regular team check-ins and monthly meetings to review resource allocation and programme delivery.

Fee: £21,100 - £26,900 Pro Rata - depending on level of qualification and experience

Additional Information

This role will be based in London and may occasionally require travel across the UK. Flexible working may be required during production weeks, including occasional evenings or weekends. Training in safeguarding and trauma-informed practice will be provided where needed.
