Working closely with the Head of Preventive Conservation and colleagues, you will help coordinate equipment maintenance, environmental monitoring and day-to-day collection care activities that support the long-term preservation of library collections. You will arrange maintenance and calibration of equipment, support integrated pest management activities, contribute to collection surveys and housekeeping, and assist with supervision of interns, placements and occasional volunteers. Due to the nature of this post, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a satisfactory Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check due to working with special collections materials.

About You

You will be organised and able to plan and prioritise your work effectively, working both independently and as part of a team. You will communicate clearly and professionally with a range of colleagues, be confident using standard IT systems, and be able to safely carry and move moderate weights in line with health and safety requirements.
