IT Support Engineer - Contract Inside IR35 in Weybridge

Location: Weybridge Office-based 3 days per week

Reports To: Cloud Service Group Manager

Purpose of the Role: The primary responsibility of this role is to provide web hosting services and technical support for multiple business affiliates across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and CIS regions.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide technical guidance and support to online managers, marketers, promotion managers, and web application stakeholders.
• Install, configure, maintain, and manage Web/WAS software environments.
• Perform application releases, updates, deployments, build processes, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Manage website information and generate periodic operational reports.

Education:

• Degree (BSc Hons) or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience in a similar technical support, infrastructure, or hosting role.

Skills and Attributes:

• Korean speaking (Mandatory).
• Experience with IIS, .NET, ASP, PHP, MS SQL Server, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Understanding of web hosting environments and application support.
• Knowledge of database, application, and web server design and implementation.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking and related protocols.
• Basic networking knowledge or practical experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle for potential emergency call-outs.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK or hold a valid work permit.
• Experience with Apache, Tomcat, JVM, MySQL, and Linux.
• Security administration experience.
• Experience with Docker, Containers, and Kubernetes.
• DevOps and CI/CD experience, including Jenkins and build/deployment processes.
• Understanding of firewall technologies.
• Public cloud platform experience.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of web hosting experience.
• Industry-recognised associate-level (or higher) cloud certification.
• Minimum 6 months of hands-on public cloud experience.

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work may be required to support projects and business-critical incidents.
