Overview
A Senior Designer is primarily responsible for designing product ranges and overseeing our Girls and Baby department. They must inspire, mentor, and manage a team with the support of the Design Manager. The role requires exceptional creative output and ideation, ensuring cohesive ranges across categories that create balanced and unique products for the customer. A strong sense of colour, design, and print is essential, along with reflecting Boden's brand values in designs.

4 days per week based at our North Acton Office.
What You Will Do
- Follow seasonal strategies to design unique and innovative ranges for our customers.
- Lead the team and manage upward communication.
- Ensure attention to detail and accuracy from sketch to production.
- Draw inspiration from various sources to ensure unique Boden products.
- Demonstrate strong delegation, time management, and prioritisation skills.
- Regularly present ranges to senior teams and participate in range building.
- Show concise ideas, self-evaluate, and solve problems effectively.
- Maintain critical path dates and meet deadlines within the team.
- Produce and check detailed technical CAD drawings and development/artwork packs.
- Participate in approvals at all stages, including washes, fabrics, and techniques.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Product teams.
- Manage PLM tasks, including uploading tech packs, colours, and creating BOMS.
- Possess strong fabric, technique, process, and fit knowledge.
- Conduct regular shopping trips for inspiration and market awareness.
What We Are Looking For
- Excellent knowledge of competitor and aspirational brands.
- Exceptional eye for colour, print, and design.
- Proficient CAD skills, including Adobe Illustrator.
- PLM experience is preferable.
- Ideally holds a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design, Print, Illustration, or Textiles.
- Significant relevant design experience at the Designer level.
- Management experience is required.
- A proactive attitude towards all work aspects.
- Strong delegation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
