Key Responsibilities
- Own all packaging and textile compliance obligations globally.
- Ensure timely registration, reporting and fee payments across all obligated jurisdictions.
- Act as the primary contact for compliance schemes, regulators and external consultants.
- Maintain a comprehensive compliance calendar covering all reporting deadlines.
- Ensure accurate reporting of packaging and textile data.
- Ensure compliance documentation and records are maintained for regulatory inspections and audits.
- Advise senior leadership on the commercial impact of regulatory developments.
- Provide recommendations on the most cost-effective compliance approaches.
- Evaluate compliance cost exposure and identify opportunities to reduce fees.
Key Deliverables
- Be the expert, advising the business on all packaging compliance matters.
- Take ownership of all existing packaging and textile obligations.
- Establish a global compliance calendar.
- Review current compliance risks and identify gaps.
- Deliver a PPWR implementation roadmap.
- Build a regulatory horizon-scanning process.
- Improve compliance reporting controls and data quality.
- Identify fee reduction opportunities.
Knowledge & Experience Required
Essential
- Proven in compliance.
- An understanding of packaging and/or textiles regulatory frameworks and reporting, ideally across the UK, EU and US.
- Experience of compliance schemes and implementing new regulatory requirements.
- Experience advising internal stakeholders.
- Strong capabilities in data and excel.
Desirable
- Retail or ecommerce experience.
- Apparel, textile or fashion industry experience.
- Environmental or sustainability consulting background.
