Overview

The Ecommerce Trading Assistant reports to the Ecommerce Trading Manager and is responsible for supporting them in trading and optimisation of the Boden website. This role plays a crucial role in delivering an engaging and commercially optimised online experience for our customers to drive sales and profit growth. The successful candidate will support the execution of the online trading plan through performance analysis, on-site merchandising and customer journey optimisation, ensuring products are presented in line with seasonal trends and brand guidelines. Location: 3 days per week at our North Acton office & 2 days WFH

What You Will Do

  • Support the delivery of the online trading plan to achieve conversion, sales, margin and stock targets.
  • Monitor daily trading performance and review competitor activity to highlight opportunities to improve the customer journey and drive stronger conversion rate.
  • Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly category performance analysis, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Support the Senior Trading Assistant and Trading Manager to collaborate with buying and merchandising team to trade the season, supporting actions to maximise sell-through and manage stock effectively.
  • Work closely with the wider marketing team (Paid Media & CRM) to optimise customer journeys across our full digital eco-system, recommending destination landing pages and optimising these pages to support product discoverability.
  • Support the execution and optimisation of the customer journey across all onsite events, including seasonal launches, promotions, and key trading moments.
  • Review product performance across key categories to support the Senior Trading Assistant and VM Manager to optimise product placement and merchandising across the website.
  • Support product discoverability through effective categorisation, navigation, filtering and on-site search in collaboration with the Digital Operations team.
  • Feed ideas into our conversion rate optimisation roadmap to continuously improve on-site customer experience and drive conversion rate.

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights (experience with Adobe analytics helpful but not required).
  • A strong interest in fashion, trends and customer behaviour.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial minded with an interest in ecommerce and digital trading.
  • Some experience in an ecommerce or fashion retail environment (including internships, placements, or retail roles).
  • Intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills, confident collaborating cross-functionally with a positive, proactive approach.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • A team player with a flexible mindset and eagerness to learn.
