Overview
The Delivery Manager for the Customer Domain will play a critical role in partnering with domain leadership to ensure all work is effectively planned, communicated, resourced, and delivered. They will oversee the end to end coordination of delivery activities - managing dependencies, risks, and issues to maintain momentum and safeguard outcomes. This role is hands on and highly collaborative, working closely with all members of the domain and the wider Delivery community to drive successful, on time delivery. The Delivery Manager will also shape and embed ongoing delivery governance, ensuring transparency, consistency, and alignment across stakeholders.
Location: 3 days per week at our North Acton office, with the remaining days WFH.
What You Will Do
- Plan, resource and oversee all incoming work for the domain, ensuring progress is tracked and clearly communicated to domain leadership and the Head of Delivery.
- Identify and proactively address delivery risks, issues and blockers, driving mitigation actions and securing support from leadership where needed.
- Maintain a clear, forward looking view of domain capacity, ensuring estimates and delivery commitments are realistic, transparent and well understood by stakeholders.
- Work closely with our Project Management Team to ensure technical deliverables meet project deadlines and expectations.
- Work with both our Product and Engineering leads to help meet business expectations.
- Continuously improve engineering delivery practices, measuring performance through meaningful KPIs and facilitating key ceremonies where required.
- Ensure delivery processes and governance are followed in line with the IT Operating Model, while recommending improvements and enabling sensible flexibility across domains.
- Support domain leadership in shaping an autonomous domain with strong ways of working, a realistic roadmap, and a robust backlog of improvements aligned with the operating model.
- Drive continual improvement across the domain and its interactions with other domains and third parties.
- Maintain visibility of incidents, ensuring actions and learnings are captured, tracked and completed.
What We Are Looking For
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Strong experience delivering eCommerce, Customer Relationship Management, Customer Data Experience and Marketing verticals.
- Experience of working in a hybrid environment with nearshore, offshore and in house teams.
- Practical experience of managing Agile engineering teams.
- A background of delivering technical based projects and features.
- Proven track record managing the successful delivery of multiple work streams.
- A keen interest in developing and improving delivery processes.
- In depth knowledge of the Software Development Life cycle.
- Good knowledge of Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), Monday.com and Asana products is preferable.
