Overview
You will be a big part of the Financial Planning and Analysis team that prepares all financial plans, monthly Exec and Board reports and regular analysis. You will also provide business partnering support to key business stakeholders and own a key business function.
Location
3 days per week at our North Acton office, the rest WFH. This role is for a 12 FTC Cover, candidates applying must be comfortable with this.
What You Will Do
- Financial Planning
- Support the FP&A manager with the preparation of budgets and in year forecasts, working collaboratively with the broader Commercial Finance team. This includes annual financial plans, rolling forecasts and long-term strategic planning.
- Develop an integrated planning methodology such that all key financial statements can be produced at each planning cycle.
- Prepare scenario and sensitivity analysis as required.
- Analysis and Reporting
- Support the preparation of monthly Board reports, analyse any risks and opportunities and support the business with remedial or development plans.
- Work with individuals and teams to ensure a commercial mindset, understand the economics of the business and help teams to drive most value into the business.
- Business Partnering
- Partner with a specific area in the business to provide the Exec and Directors with a single point of contact for all financial matters.
- Provide insight into the area's performance and work with the business area to build budgets, forecasts and evaluate new initiatives and projects.
- Projects
- Work on ad hoc projects as agreed with the Director of Commercial Finance or FP&A Manager.
- Investigate competitor analysis, investor relations and profitability analysis. Ensure all projects are managed and delivered on time and to high quality levels.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong analytical skills with an enquiring mind and able to challenge status quo.
- Excellent capability in Excel modelling and use of Big Data.
- Previous experience of working in FP&A or Commercial Finance with online retail experience desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with experience of working in an FP&A team.
- Ability to influence and confidence to challenge stakeholders across the business working at multiple levels and communicating financial results appropriately to the relevant audience.
