Overview
As a Junior Print Designer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Womenswear Design Team, building on your experience as a Design Admin Assistant or Assistant Designer. You’ll take increasing ownership of your work, developing your creative voice while ensuring your designs reflect the Boden customer and brand.
Reporting into a Print Designer, you’ll contribute to product ranges from initial concept through to production, collaborating closely with product and design teams. With a strong eye for colour, print, and emerging trends, you’ll bring fresh ideas to the table and help deliver innovative, commercially successful designs. What You Will Do
- Design innovative, unique prints with the Boden customer in mind
- Support the womenswear team across the full design process, from concept to production
- Manage critical path deadlines and approvals, including strike-offs
- Upload and maintain PLM systems with tech packs, artworks, colours, and BOMs
- Research and present fresh ideas inspired by competitors, aspirational brands, and wider cultural references
- Keep a close eye on colour, print, and design trends, applying them in a Boden-appropriate way
- Present work (with manager support) and respond to trade feedback where needed
- Use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and CAD to create professional design outputs
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Design Admin Assistant or Design Assistant, with a strong portfolio of work
- A genuine passion for print, colour, and design innovation
- Excellent CAD skills, including Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
- Good knowledge of screen, rotary, and digital printing processes
- PLM experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Organised, proactive and resilient, with strong time-management skills
- A collaborative approach and a desire to grow within a creative team
- Awareness of competitor and aspirational brands, and the ability to translate trends for Boden
