Overview
The Garment Technologist reports to the Senior Technologist on their department and is responsible for their own product area. They are responsible for the development of each product within their area and ensuring that each product meets our Boden quality standards. They manage relationships with their suppliers and drive improvements in the quality and fit of their own product area.
Location: 3-4 days per week at our North Acton office, the rest WFH.
What You Will Do
- Management of labelling and packaging BOMs.
- Managing shipment samples.
- Managing AQL process.
- Managing testing process.
- Presentation of product and feedback from product lockdown meetings.
- Managing wearer trials and fabric development.
- Product fully legally compliant.
- Product developed in line with critical path.
- Fit and risk assess own product area independently.
- Achievement of fit returns target for product area and input to returns analysis.
- Customer communication (bullet point and customer queries).
- Clear communication with suppliers and maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
- Supplier visits carried out and visit reports completed.
- Contribute to supplier appraisal process.
- Manage critical path for own product area.
- Contribute to strategy packs.
- Technical training of junior team members.
- Develop and support junior members of the wider team.

- Degree or equivalent or relevant experience/qualification.
- Experience working within a similar position.
- Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of pattern and garment construction.
- Knowledge of yarns/fabrics.
- Clear communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.

- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
