We're looking for an ambitious and energetic Assistant Designer to join our Softs team, someone with a true passion for feminine design and a keen eye for print, pattern, texture and embroidery. This is an exciting opportunity for an already established Assistant Designer who brings a positive, can-do attitude, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is always willing to go the extra mile.
Alongside providing strong administrative support to the team, you'll work closely with the Senior Designer and collaborate across Design, Buying and Merchandising, playing a key role in bringing creative, customer-focused product to life while continuing to grow your ownership, confidence and design expertise within a supportive and inspiring team. Approaching every task with positivity and resilience, you'll be a true team player who lives and breathes the Boden values, with a strong understanding of and affinity for the Boden core customer.
Location: 4 days per week in our North Acton office, with 1 day from home. During busier periods, flexibility to work 5 days per week from the office will be required.
What You Will Do
- Support the Senior Designer with increased design responsibilities and opportunities for ownership.
- Create embroidery and artwork packs.
- Apply knowledge of woven dress construction, fit and finishing techniques.
- Manage PLM, including uploading tech packs, artworks, colours and setting up BOMs.
- Train new team members on PLM where necessary.
- Manage email and supplier correspondence, samples, and CP processes.
- Oversee and approve trims, strike-offs, artworks and lab dips.
- Support colour palette creation, colour ordering and colour management processes.
- Set up and maintain seasonal Miro boards and garment range boards.
- Sketch into samples, research brands, prepare meetings, take notes, manage trackers, and maintain creative spaces.
What We Are Looking For

- Excellent CAD skills, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

- A BA (Hons) degree in Fashion Design, Print, Illustration or Textiles, with sufficient DAA experience.
