Critical Environments | Financial Services | London
Circa £100,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
We are working exclusively with a leading facilities management provider to recruit a Senior Technical Services Manager for a high-profile financial services account in London (city). This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is genuinely technical, commercially credible and confident operating across complex critical environments. The role is less about day-to-day engineering management and more about being the technical brain behind the operation, setting standards, managing risk and supporting a strong team on a flagship client account.
The Role
You will act as the senior technical authority across a critical UKI portfolio, providing engineering governance, technical oversight and subject matter expertise across key sites. You will take ownership of technical strategy, risk, compliance and engineering standards, with a particular focus on critical environments, banking infrastructure and data centre-style operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical governance across critical engineering environments
- Own and develop HV/LV maintenance strategy across the portfolio
- Support Authorised Person frameworks and safe systems of work
- Drive engineering standards across self-delivered and subcontracted services
- Manage technical risk, change control and incident investigation
- Support project integration from a technical due diligence perspective
- Review and improve SOPs, EOPs and scenario testing programmes
- Engage confidently with client stakeholders, project teams and senior leadership
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineering and FM teams
What We’re Looking For
- Strong technical background within critical or mission-critical environments
- Experience across financial services, banking, data centres or similar estates
- HV/LV Authorised Person experience, ideally Senior Authorised Person level
- Strong understanding of EICR, ITEE, safe systems of work and high-risk electrical environments
- Experience managing technical governance, compliance, risk and change control
- Confident stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior level
- A modern, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- Someone collaborative, positive and credible, with the ability to bring calm and clarity to complex technical issues
Why Apply?
This is a standout opportunity to join a well-established account with a strong on-site team, a good client relationship and a genuinely critical estate. You will be trusted as the technical authority, given visibility across senior stakeholders and asked to shape the way technical standards are delivered across a high-profile financial services environment. This role would suit someone who enjoys being the person others turn to when the engineering gets complex.
