We are seeking a Planning Manager – Asset Assurance & Lifecycle Planning to support a significant portfolio of PPP/PFI infrastructure assets across the UK. This role sits at the intersection of Asset Management, Lifecycle Planning, Building Surveying and Facilities Management. Rather than carrying out condition surveys, you will be responsible for reviewing, validating and challenging survey outputs, asset data and lifecycle assumptions to ensure they are accurate, commercially robust and suitable for long-term asset management decision-making.
Working closely with surveyors, FM providers, consultants and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting lifecycle planning, contractual compliance and asset investment strategies across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Review and validate condition survey outputs, asset registers and lifecycle assumptions.
- Challenge technical recommendations and identify inconsistencies within survey data.
- Ensure asset information is accurate, auditable and suitable for lifecycle planning purposes.
- Support lifecycle planning and long-term asset investment decisions.
- Work closely with surveyors, FM providers, consultants and contractors.
- Manage survey quality, governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of survey standards, specifications and best practice guidance.
- Ensure survey outputs align with contractual obligations and asset management objectives.
This role would suit a commercially minded professional from a Building Surveying, Asset Management, Lifecycle Planning, Estates Management or Hard FM background. You will have:
- Experience reviewing, interpreting or validating condition survey outputs.
- Understanding of asset management and lifecycle planning principles.
- Experience working with asset registers, condition data and lifecycle assumptions.
- Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge technical recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing consultants, contractors or outsourced technical services.
- The ability to balance technical detail with practical commercial outcomes.
- RICS qualified.
- PPP/PFI experience.
- Experience within healthcare, education or custodial estates.
- Experience developing technical standards, governance processes or quality assurance frameworks.
£61,000 Basic Salary
£6,500 Car Allowance
