Join a skilled maintenance team supporting critical defence infrastructure, delivering reactive repairs and planned maintenance across a diverse estate. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a varied estate, carrying out maintenance, repairs, compliance works and minor refurbishments that directly contribute to the safe and efficient operation of essential Defence sites.

The Role

  • Carry out reactive maintenance, repairs, compliance works and minor refurbishment projects across multiple Defence sites.
  • Undertake a wide variety of maintenance tasks including plumbing, basic electrical repairs, plastering, mechanical maintenance and general building repairs.
  • Work across both domestic and commercial buildings, adapting to a varied workload.
  • Manage your daily workload digitally using a tablet or mobile device while maintaining accurate job records.
  • Travel between sites using a company van and fuel card provided.
  • Support general storekeeping and yard duties when required.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a skilled maintenance team.
  • Participate in an on-call rota, responding to emergency maintenance requirements when required.

You

  • Practical experience within maintenance, Facilities Management, construction or social housing.
  • Experience carrying out a broad range of building maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH and RIDDOR.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
  • Trade qualifications are desirable but not essential; strong hands-on experience will also be considered.
