We are seeking an experienced Hard FM Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of hard services within a complex healthcare environment. This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for engineering compliance, asset performance and lifecycle delivery across a PFI site. Reporting to the Head of Hard FM, you will manage a team of 12-15 engineers and specialists, hold budget responsibility and act as a Responsible Person for key compliance areas such as Water and Fire, depending on business need.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary hard FM team, driving performance and safety
- Own statutory and regulatory compliance, including HTMs, L8, fire and COSHH
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance, small works and lifecycle projects
- Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure SLAs are consistently met
- Act as a senior technical and compliance lead within a hospital PFI environment
- Support asset management, lifecycle planning and continuous improvement
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with the Trust, SPV and key stakeholders
Qualifications
- Significant hard FM leadership experience within a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of HTMs, statutory compliance and PFI-style contracts
- Proven people management experience (circa 12+ direct reports)
- IOSH Managing Safely and IWFM Level 3 (or higher)
- Confident communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
