Are you an experienced Fabric Engineer looking for a temporary contract opportunity within a busy facilities environment? A leading organisation is seeking a skilled and reliable Fabric Engineer to support planned and reactive maintenance across their site.
As a Fabric Engineer, you will:
- Carry out general fabric maintenance and building repairs across the site.
- Complete general carpentry repairs including doors, locks, fixtures, fittings, and minor joinery works.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks and ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Carry out routine compliance checks, including emergency lighting (EML) inspections and fire alarm checks.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Undertake general facilities maintenance tasks, including plumbing-related issues such as unblocking toilets and minor repairs.
- Identify faults, report issues, and assist with maintaining a safe working environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working as a Fabric Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Handyperson, or similar role.
- Strong practical skills across general building maintenance.
- Experience with carpentry, basic plumbing, and general repairs.
- Knowledge of PPM processes and compliance checks.
- A strong understanding of health & safety within a facilities environment.
