Late Shift: 10:30 â 19:00
Role OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and reliable MultiâSkilled Electrical Engineer to join a facilities maintenance team supporting student accommodation sites in Kingston upon Thames. The role focuses on the delivery of highâquality planned and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical and building fabric elements, ensuring a safe, compliant and wellâmaintained living environment for residents. The successful candidate will also participate in an onâcall rota to provide outâofâhours support.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Service Delivery
Deliver reactive and planned maintenance across student accommodation sites
Undertake replacement of electrical appliances, fittings, luminaires and lowâvoltage outlets
Carry out minor repairs within student bedrooms and communal areas, covering building fabric, fixtures and fittings
Electrical & Mechanical Duties
Complete general electrical maintenance and fault finding
Continuously monitor and maintain mechanical systems, fittings and plant rooms
Compliance & Safety
Undertake monthly temperature monitoring of hot and coldâwater systems
Carry out weekly flushing of water outlets in unoccupied rooms
Perform weekly fire alarm testing across the accommodation
Complete biâannual fire door inspections (training provided), recording defects, damage and remedial actions accurately
Reporting & Standards
Accurately record works completed and report defects or compliance issues
Ensure all tasks are completed in line with statutory requirements, site procedures and best practice

Candidate Requirements
Demonstrable experience in a similar maintenance or engineering role
Recognised electrical qualification (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong faultâfinding and problemâsolving skills
Full UK driving licence
