Are you a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor or Estimator looking for a role with more ownership, variety and influence? We’re working with a growing specialist contractor seeking a Surveyor / Estimator to join their team in Melton Mowbray, supporting projects across the Midlands and nationwide.
This isn’t a role where you’ll be boxed into one discipline. You’ll take a true cradle-to-grave approach — moving from tender and estimating responsibilities through to commercial management of live projects, managing budgets, variations, applications, final accounts and client relationships.
The opportunity offers exposure to:
- Full tender ownership and bid management
- Cost planning, take-offs and value engineering
- NEC & JCT contracts
- Variations, compensation events and final accounts
- Site and client-facing responsibilities
- Commercial influence across live projects
- Hybrid flexibility with occasional home working
The business specialises in passive fire protection works including fire stopping, cavity barriers and intumescent coatings, although sector experience isn’t essential. Strong surveying/estimating experience and a commercial mindset are the priority.
We’re keen to speak with individuals who have:
- 5+ years' construction surveying/estimating experience
- HNC/HND or Degree qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong contractual understanding across JCT and NEC
- Experience managing multiple tenders or live schemes simultaneously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skills
If you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely add value, influence projects and become a key part of a growing team, please apply within.
