We're working with an established multi-disciplinary consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior or Associate Building Surveyor to join its Manchester team. This role offers a blend of project delivery and professional advisory work, providing exposure to a wide range of residential, commercial and refurbishment schemes.

The Role

As a Senior / Associate Building Surveyor, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of projects while delivering a range of professional building surveying services to a diverse client base. The role combines project-led responsibilities with traditional building surveying work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver project management and contract administration services
  • Lead refurbishment, renovation and remediation projects
  • Undertake defects diagnosis and condition assessments
  • Prepare planned maintenance programmes and reinstatement cost assessments
  • Advise on landlord and tenant matters and party wall issues
  • Manage project teams and stakeholder relationships
  • Administer JCT contracts and oversee project delivery from inception to completion

About You

  • Degree-qualified Building Surveyor with relevant industry experience
  • MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
  • Strong knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts
  • Experience delivering refurbishment and construction projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially aware with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Working Pattern

  • Office-based role – 100% office attendance
  • Manchester office location
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
