As the Shift Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining essential M&E systems, ensuring operational reliability, and supporting the smooth running of a critical environment. The Role As the Shift Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across M&E systems Responding to reactive maintenance and plant faults Supporting the operation of critical systems including UPS, generators, HVAC, and LV systems Working alongside subcontractors and site teams to maintain high service standards Operating within Permit to Work and health & safety procedures This role operates on a 4 on, 4 off daytime shift pattern and offers the opportunity to work within a strong and supportive engineering team. About You To succeed as a Shift Engineer, you will ideally have: Relevant engineering qualifications including NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical building services systems Experience working with HVAC, UPS, generators, or critical plant equipment Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills Previous experience within Facilities Management or building services environments Experience within critical environments or data centres would also be advantageous.
