We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Live-In Carer (Self-Employed) to provide personalised care and support within a private residence. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, and senior care, with a strong focus on promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring specialised support, including those living with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other health conditions. The position is self-employed, offering flexibility and the chance to deliver tailored care in a comfortable home environment.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support medication administration and health monitoring in line with care plans.
  • Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs and dietary requirements are met.
  • Manage behaviour and implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions.
  • Support mobility and perform heavy lifting when required to ensure safe transfers and repositioning.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to foster a warm, caring environment.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the client's needs.
  • Drive the client to appointments or outings where required, ensuring safe transportation.
  • Administer first aid where necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings.
  • Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and general senior care practices.
  • Relevant qualifications in caregiving, nursing, or first aid (desirable).
  • Strong understanding of medication administration and health monitoring.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and patience when working with vulnerable individuals.
  • Valid driving licence and clean driving record (preferred).
  • Ability to safely perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs.
  • Compassionate attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with good organisational skills to manage personalised care routines.

Pay: £700.00-£800.00 per week

Ability to commute/relocate: Manchester M38: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
