Boddington’s Preserves is looking for a reliable and practical person to join our small production team in Mevagissey.
We are a family-run Cornish food manufacturer producing premium jams, marmalades, chutneys, relishes and curds.
Our products are prepared in small batches using traditional cooking methods, and we are looking for someone who can help us maintain consistently high standards.
Your duties will include
- Accurately weighing and checking ingredients.
- Following recipes and production instructions.
- Cooking products to the correct consistency and finishing point.
- Carrying out quality checks and recording batch information.
- Operating cooking, depositing and capping equipment.
- Following allergen-control, hygiene and food-safety procedures.
- Cleaning the cooking area and equipment at the end of production.
- Supporting the wider production team when required.
You will need to be
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working as part of a small team.
- Accurate when following recipes, weighing ingredients and completing records.
- Practical and confident working in an active production environment.
- Willing to learn how to assess the consistency and quality of different products.
