About BoConcept
Born in Denmark in 1952, BoConcept is a global premium lifestyle brand, designing, producing, and selling contemporary furniture, accessories, and lighting for private homes and commercial spaces. Our Trade & Contract division specialises in delivering tailored solutions to clients across the residential, workplace, and hospitality sectors.
Job Summary
We are hiring an Interior Designer to strengthen our Trade & Contract design team with a clear focus on high-quality client presentations and 3D visualisation. This role supports fast-paced B2B projects across BTR/residential developments, hospitality, workplace and commercial environments, translating briefs into compelling, commercially viable design proposals—often with multiple options, tight deadlines, and frequent stakeholder feedback. You will be hands-on in producing client-ready decks, FF&E schedules, layouts, and photorealistic renders, with strong file discipline and accuracy across specifications and pricing-support documentation. This is a highly collaborative role. You will work agilely within a small design team, taking ownership of defined workstreams within live projects (e.g., presentation packages, 3D visuals, FF&E schedules, option sets), while interfacing closely with the design team management and wider stakeholders. Success in this role means producing strong, client-ready solutions based on an agreed brief and brand direction, iterating quickly through feedback, and contributing to a consistent team output.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept & presentation delivery: Build client-ready design proposals: concept narrative, mood boards, material palettes, furniture layouts, annotated plans and elevations, and presentation boards/decks (InDesign / PowerPoint). Create and refine high-impact visuals: 3D models, staging, lighting, and photorealistic renders suitable for client approval and marketing-grade outputs where required. Produce option sets (Scheme A/B/C), alternates and value-engineering options without losing design intent.
- Space planning & technical: Develop space plans and technical packages (AutoCAD / Revit where applicable), including furniture layouts, key dimensions, and coordination drawings. Maintain clear drawing standards, version control, and issue tracking across iterative design development.
- FF&E specification & commercial support: Able to produce or revise detailed FF&E schedules including product codes, finishes, quantities, compliance notes (where applicable), lead times, and alternates. Support the team with quote-ready documentation: pricing matrices, options comparisons, change logs, and summary sheets (high accuracy expected). Specify FF&E items when required to complete a full scheme (lighting, rugs, accessories, joinery elements etc.), aligned with budget and client expectations.
- Styling & dressing: Lead the styling and dressing of show apartments, marketing suites, and amenity spaces to create cohesive, aspirational environments aligned with the project brief and target audience. Select and curate accessories, soft furnishings, artwork, and decorative elements to enhance the overall design concept and elevate visual impact for client presentations, marketing collateral, and on-site delivery. Coordinate styling installations on-site where required, ensuring layouts, finishes, and final details are executed to a high standard and consistent with approved design schemes.
- Project coordination: Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Logistics) and external parties (client teams, consultants, suppliers, contractors) to ensure a smooth path from concept to delivery. Assist with site surveys/site visits as required; capture accurate measurements, constraints, and installation considerations. Maintain organised project folders, naming conventions, and structured documentation to ensure team continuity and speed.
- Innovation & workflow: Use AI tools where appropriate to accelerate ideation, mood exploration, visual drafting, and workflow automation—without compromising brand quality or accuracy. Stay current with commercial interiors trends, sustainability, durability specifications, and evolving rendering/presentation workflows.
Essential skills & experience
- Proven experience in interior design (residential and/or commercial/hospitality); Trade & Contract/B2B experience strongly preferred.
- Strong presentation capability: can produce polished decks/boards that sell the concept clearly and professionally.
- Strong 3D capability: can model, stage and render to a high standard and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- Software (must-have): AutoCAD (strong), Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign + Photoshop + Illustrator (strong), SketchUp and/or 3ds Max (strong), Revit (proficiency), pCon Planner (strongly preferred / ideally confident), High competence in PowerPoint (or Keynote) and Excel for schedules and pricing-support documentation.
- AI tools: Demonstrable use of AI-enabled design/visual tools (concept ideation, mood generation, rendering enhancement, workflow automation). Must show discernment and quality control.
Ways of working
- Team-oriented and agile: able to take ownership of assigned project components, collaborate seamlessly with other designers, and interface effectively with the Head of Design and management.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong file/version discipline.
- Able to manage multiple live projects with fast turnaround and frequent revisions.
- Confident communicator: can present internally, respond to feedback, and document decisions clearly.
Desirable (nice-to-have)
- Rendering engines / real-time workflows (e.g., V-Ray / Corona / Enscape / Twinmotion / D5—any is useful).
- Experience with contract compliance considerations (commercial durability, upholstery/fire performance basics, hotel/BTR standards).
- CRM and project management tools (e.g., HubSpot, Monday.com).
Portfolio requirement
Portfolio must include:
- Client-ready presentation examples (boards/decks).
- Space planning examples.
- 3D visualisation/renders showing lighting/material realism and consistency.
