With our new fully digitally managed manufacturing plant in Deeside, North Wales, we aim to meet the significant upturn in demand for nuclear power over the next three decades to meet globally-set net zero carbon targets by 2050.
Boccard is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Engineering Lead to provide expert guidance and technical leadership across complex engineering projects, with a particular focus on pipework and steelwork. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of projects in line with contractual obligations, customer requirements, and industry standards—particularly within the nuclear and highly regulated sectors.
Key responsibilities:- Lead and provide technical direction in all aspects of pipework and steelwork design and implementation.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Manufacturing, and Construction teams to ensure projects are delivered to specification, on time, and within budget.
- Resolve technical challenges efficiently to support smooth project execution and implementation.
- Review and revise technical drawings, identifying and correcting errors to maintain design integrity.
- Manage Bills of Materials and ensure accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop comprehensive technical specifications for manufacturing and procurement, translating customer requirements from the Works Information into clear, actionable documentation.
- Act as a technical mentor, supporting colleagues and stakeholders in understanding complex engineering requirements and challenges.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and clients to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
