About Boccard: Boccard has a track record of 50 years in the nuclear energy sector and is ideally placed to serve this new era of nuclear energy as a leading specialist in engineering, manufacturing, construction and maintenance across the nuclear energy industry. Known for our innovative projects and commitment to sustainability, we are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Interns to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the field of Engineering / Quality / Project Management / Health and Safety.

Engineering – Deeside Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of engineering projects
  • Conduct site visits and inspections
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on various tasks
  • Support the team in daily administrative duties

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges

Quality – Deeside / Bristol Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures
  • Conduct inspections and tests on products to ensure compliance with standards
  • Analyse data and prepare reports on quality performance
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Support the quality assurance team in daily administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with quality management software
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Health and Safety – Deeside Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections
  • Analyse data and prepare reports on safety performance
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Support the health and safety team in daily administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with safety management software
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Project Management and Project Control - Bristol Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, executing, and closing projects
  • Monitor project progress and update project plans
  • Conduct research and gather data for project reports
  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Support the project management team in daily administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a Technical / Engineering related field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Trello)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges

Design / Technical – Bristol Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in maintaining track on all material being purchased / shipped / used at the workshop
  • Propose improvements to our existing tools
  • Perform manufacturing efficiency study
  • Support the team in keeping manufacturing trackers up to date
  • Assist with our manufacturing management tool
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on various tasks

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, or HND in manufacturing systems, mechanical engineering, or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
