About the Role
As a Junior / Assistant Technical Engineer, you’ll be part of a collaborative Technical team supporting the delivery of complex engineering projects across pipework, steelwork, and nuclear‑industry applications. You’ll work closely with Project Management and Manufacturing teams to ensure every technical output is accurate, compliant, and ready for implementation. This is a hands‑on, detail‑driven role where you’ll learn from experienced engineers and gain exposure to the full lifecycle of technical project delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing technical expertise across pipework and steelwork activities
- Assisting in solving technical challenges to support efficient project delivery
- Working with colleagues and management to ensure projects meet contract and industry standards
- Reviewing and revising technical drawings, identifying and correcting errors
- Supporting Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and management
- Assisting with drawing revision control and change‑management processes
- Performing surveillance checks to ensure drawings are fit for manufacturing
- Helping colleagues understand technical requirements and challenges
- Carrying out additional duties that support the overall function of the role
