To support our continued growth, Boccard are looking for a qualified Project Quality Inspector, based at our new fully digital manufacturing plant in Deesiden with regular travel to other sites. This role will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of conforming products by carrying out anticipatory, monitoring and improvement actions with suppliers.
Key responsibilities
Ensure that the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) is monitored and respected at each manufacturing/installation step. The ITP is the governing document which ensures the manufacturing/installation activities, and the project are in line with the client quality requirements.
-Travel to suppliers for raw material inspections – Carry out the documentation review of documents such as 3.1/3.2 certificates for materials and consumables - complete inspection and release documents
-Based at our Deeside facility, withtravel to other sites as required and where required set up or be based at several suppliers
-To carry out inspections welding, NDT & Painting when required
-To carry out independent inspections of BOCCARD & its suppliers work (checker of the checker)
-To generate xgikmsk and / or review documentation, procedures, ITPs, end of manufacturing supports, LTQRs, release certificates etc...
-To follow the controlling document steps and signing off where applicable to evidence that the steps are completed and accepted
-To ensure the controlling document is compliant at all stages of manufacture
-Documentation is then sent to the client for review and there is a focus on right first time which KPIs are measured so it is imperative to have an eye for detail
