As our operations grow, we are looking for an HS&E Advisor who shares our passion for safe, responsible and high-quality work.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and motivated HS&E Advisor to support day-to-day monitoring of compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures. You will work closely with teams across the business, providing guidance, conducting inspections, and helping maintain a positive safety culture across all UK operations. This role involves regular travel to sites across the UK and close collaboration with Engineering, Quality and Production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and reinforce a strong nuclear safety culture through coaching, safety interventions, toolbox talks and hazard reporting
- Assist in maintaining and updating HS&E documentation, policies and procedures
- Deliver new starter HS&E inductions and manage training records
- Maintain and monitor the Health & Safety legal register
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across all HS&E activities
- Act as a role model for safe working practices
- Attend safety meetings with subcontractors, clients and internal teams
- Conduct risk assessments, including COSHH assessments, and communicate findings
- Ensure near misses are recorded, support root cause analysis and share lessons learned
- Coordinate Health Surveillance requirements
- Support safe management of plant and machinery, including maintenance and safe use
- Assist in compiling monthly safety statistics
- Apply working knowledge of ISO 14001:2005 and ISO 45001:2018
- Carry out any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role

What We're Looking For
Essential
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
- Experience in a Health & Safety role
- Excellent communication skills, including working with diverse teams
- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desirable
- Excellent presentation skills
- Membership of IOSH, CIEH or IEMA
- Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
Working Environment
You will be based in Deeside, our digital manufacturing facility, with regular travel to company and client sites. The role requires strong relationship-building skills, working closely with colleagues across HR, Engineering, Quality and Production, as well as client representatives.
