We are looking for experienced NDT, Quality Control Welding Inspectors to work at our fully digital manufacturing plant in Deeside. The role will involve the successful applicant(s) being part of an experienced team of quality engineers and QC inspectors and will work closely with technical and production departments in the manufacture of nuclear fabrications. The role will be responsible for carrying out inspections on materials, components, and systems in accordance with the Project Quality Plan including contracts with Hinkley Point C (HPC) and future Nuclear New Build (NNB) sites.
They will perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing and ensuring detailed records of inspections, tests, and audits are completed and maintained. They will also prepare and submit reports on quality issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
What you will do:
- Conduct inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and report quality issues and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear industry regulations and internal QA/QC procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices.
What you will bring:
- Must have CSWIP 3.1 certified with experience in the field as a welding inspector.
- Must have certification in PCN Level 2 MPI and PCN Level 2 DPI.
- Advanced knowledge of modern welding procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with a good eye for detail.
- Ideally have previous experience as a time served welder/fabricator or pipefitter.
