With over 50 years of experience in nuclear energy, Boccard is a trusted leader in engineering, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance across the energy industry. As we enter a new era of nuclear innovation, we are expanding our team to meet increasing demand. We are hiring a QC Engineer to help uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance at our new, fully digital manufacturing plant in Deeside.
In this role, you will support the manufacture of carbon and stainless-steel pipe spools and support structures, carry out inspections in line with the Project Quality Plan, and work closely with QC Inspectors to ensure right-first-time delivery. You will also play a key role in promoting a culture of operational excellence and client satisfaction.
What You’ll Do:
- Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plans.
- Review documentation, LTQRs, weld procedures, and calibration records for compliance.
- Conduct audits, manage non-conformance reports, and support supplier approvals.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure quality standards are met.
- Deliver quality awareness training and contribute to process improvements.
- NCR (Non-Conformance Report) management, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
What You’ll Bring:
- Advanced knowledge of modern welding procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with a good eye for detail.
- Significant experience in working on pipe spooling contracts.
- Knowledge of RCCM manufacturing specifications.
- Computer literate and willing to train on internal digital platforms.
- Previous Nuclear experience required.
- Experience operating in a fast and high volume production environment.
- CSWIP 3.1 - Preferred.
- PCN Level 2 MPI - Preferred.
- PCN Level 2 Radiographic Interpretation - Minimum.
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in NCR (Non-Conformance Report) management, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
