Responsibilities
- Lead daily transport operations, ensuring service quality and compliance with safety standards for people and equipment.
- Act as the named Transport Manager for the Operator License, upholding internal expectations and external regulatory standards.
- Champion a proactive safety culture, aligned with commitment to preventing all incidents, and lead inclusive risk prevention initiatives.
- Lead, support, and develop teams across multiple sites, fostering a culture of inclusion, respect, and high performance.
- Manage budgets, resource planning, and productivity, using data and insights to support continuous improvement and equitable resource use.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Sales, Production, and Customer Service to align transport operations with shared business goals.
- Business continuity. Mandatory governance of Worsley and the North West region.
Qualifications
- Transport Management CPC is required or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience managing transport operations across multiple sites, with a focus on collaboration and service delivery.
- Familiarity with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards and approaches to managing operational risk.
- Experience managing budgets and performance using KPIs, focusing on continuous improvement and accountability.
- Strong leadership and people skills, including experience building positive working relationships in unionised environments.
- NEBOSH and ADR qualifications desirable; support for training and development is provided.
- Knowledge of industrial gases or similar sectors is a plus but not essential.
- Demonstrate integrity and inclusive leadership, role modelling behaviours that contribute to a respectful, safe, and welcoming workplace.
