What You Will Enjoy Doing

  • Be at the heart of a collaborative approach to ensure the highest standards of safety, health, environmental sustainability, and quality, shaping a better future for our employees, communities, and the planet.
  • Implement health and safety policies and practices across the business; provide advice and support to managers and employees on all SHEQ matters.
  • Participate in site inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations to ensure policies and regulations are followed and actions are completed.
  • Build ongoing relationships across the organisation on SHEQ policies, practices, and performance, with opportunities to coach and mentor colleagues within the wider SHEQ team.
  • Drive continuous improvements and lead initiatives to foster a strong safety culture.
  • Collaborate with others to share learnings and best practices and actively participate in initiatives to improve overall SHEQ performance.
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation and industry developments; represent SHEQ internally and externally for BOC.
  • Learn from others, engage with diverse teams, and experience a variety of work environments.

What Makes You Great

  • Experience in an operational, engineering or SHEQ role with understanding of an operational and safety environment.
  • Minimum Level 3 NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety; Level 6 Diploma in Health & Safety would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Willingness to learn about quality control processes to ensure products and services meet expectations and standards.
  • Demonstrated safety ownership and the ability to lead a safe and inclusive culture.
  • Desire to succeed, develop, learn new things, and challenge yourself.
