Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day departmental operations by ensuring the availability of materials, equipment, services, and appropriately skilled personnel, while maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to local procedures, including acting as an authorised flam/ox filling approver.
- Manage team performance and development, including monitoring KPIs, allocating workloads and priorities, supporting recruitment, delivering training, conducting annual appraisals, and overseeing holidays, absences and disciplinary matters.
- Oversee compliance and quality activities, ensuring robust record keeping aligned with ISO9001 and ISO17025 requirements and assigning actions to resolve technical or non-conforming product issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory control for over 300 raw materials, intermixes, parents, and decant supplies to ensure all orders are fulfilled within required lead times.
- Drive continuous improvement by planning, leading, and implementing initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
Qualifications
- GCSE/Functional skills or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Several years of experience in relevant SP Immingham operations, or supervisory experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO9001, ISO Guide 34 and ISO17025.
- Knowledge and understanding of analytical techniques and filling techniques.
- Work with integrity, role-model behaviours aligned to being an inclusive workplace.
