Responsibilities

  • Fill pure gases, gaseous and liquid mixtures to production order recipes from a database of over 25,000 items, including calibration reference standards, Flammox, and highly toxic mixtures.
  • Perform high‑accuracy analysis of raw materials to ensure accurate filling of cylinders to UKAS standards.
  • Visually assess packages and equipment to confirm safety before use.
  • Apply an analytical approach to problem solving, identify root causes of non‑conformances, and use those insights to continuously improve filling techniques and capability.

Qualifications

  • HNC or HND in a science‑related subject (preferably chemistry) or several years’ experience within BOC.
  • GCSE / Functional Skills or equivalent in maths & English.
  • Experience in analytical techniques.
