What You Will Enjoy Doing
- Ensuring the road worthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness of vehicle allocated.
- Completing daily pre-use inspection check sheet for the vehicle and any specialised equipment that you may need to use as part of daily work.
- If necessary, operating special BOC equipment such as a forklift truck or crane for loading and unloading vehicles.
- Applying defensive driving techniques, knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads to ensure the safe transit and delivery of cylinders.
- Delivering approx. 15-20 gas cylinder deliveries per day to customers in the area.
- Using safe cylinder manual handling techniques to deliver/collect cylinders to/from customers.
- Adhering to strict Health & Safety operations.
What Makes You Great
- Holding an HGV/LGV Cat C licence ADR (Class 2 in packages).
- A driver CPC is required.
- Knowledge of Defensive driving and Driver Regulations, including HSA regulations.
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
- Having a high level of personal integrity.
- Having held the LGV entitlement for a minimum of 2 years, for insurance purposes.
