What you will enjoy doing

  • In this role you will fill pure gases, gaseous and liquid mixtures to production order recipes from a database of over 25,000, these may include high purity gases, calibration reference standards, Flammox, accredited and toxic mixtures
  • As well as analyse, qualify, quantify and certify a range of gaseous and liquid mixtures that comply with the requirements of GMP and ISO Guide 34 and ISO 1725. This also includes the analysis of raw materials which are used by the various production departments
  • You will apply an analytical approach to identify root causes of non-conformances, perform final product inspections and labelling (including third-party fills), investigate customer complaints in collaboration with technical staff, and support ad hoc analysis and filling requests for products and trials
  • You will be responsible for completing all documentation correctly and accurately, carry out daily pre-use inspection checks to ensure any equipment used is in good working order
  • As well as ensuring that your working area and the site is safe, organised, tidy and maintained to the highest standard
  • You will work in and be responsible for a safety-first environment, where you will actively follow and promote safe practices to all and support your manager and team with tasks when required
  • As part of this role, there will be an element of manual handling of the cylinders but full training will be provided by us, with the suitable equipment to support you in doing the job safely

What makes you great

  • A level standard in a science related subject, preferably chemistry
  • Experience in analytical techniques and use of various computer-based applications for analytical processes
  • An understanding of how the filling of gaseous and liquefied gases and mixtures can be affected by sudden changes in ambient temperature or pressure
  • You have excellent communication and listening skills and enjoy working as part of a team and developing positive relationships with people
  • You have the ability to acquire new skills, develop yourself through courses and on the job learning
  • Must be able to be trained and capable of using digital equipment as part of the role
  • You are adaptable and flexible
  • You must have a high level of personal integrity and work with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to being an inclusive workplace
