About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Machine Demonstrator to join our small, busy R&D team in Heywood. In this vital role, you will provide the operational backbone of our customer demonstration facility, ensuring all machinery operates flawlessly and every customer trial exceeds expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Support the demonstration, maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of various machinery types within the centre, strictly following SOPs.
- Ensure the demonstration area is always clean, professional, and ready for customer visits, providing the best possible experience for our clients.
- Utilise problem‑solving techniques to diagnose machine performance issues, document observations during R&D trials, and implement effective remedies quickly.
- Manage the logistics, packing, and shipping of materials for customer trials, including tracking customer materials, maintaining stock records for spare parts and packaging supplies, and ensuring the warehouse remains organised.
- Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, actively maintaining and promoting a safe working environment for all visitors and colleagues.
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced in operating machines (vacuum or wet coating experience is highly advantageous).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong time‑management capabilities.
- Proactive, flexible, and able to follow detailed instructions precisely while taking initiative as product knowledge grows.
- Strong team player and effective communicator with customers, acting as a positive ambassador for the company.
- Computer‑literate in Microsoft applications; general education (Engineering or Technical background is a bonus).
