Position Overview: The Receiver I is responsible for receiving BRM orders, tracking inventory, and loading and unloading trucks for inbound and outbound order shipments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receives orders in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Transfers all received orders to overstock bins.
  • Unloads orders safely without damage to product or vehicles.
  • Keeps the warehouse clean and organized.
  • Escalates errors to supervisors.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
  • Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift.
  • Ability to use a hand-held RF scanner.
  • Possesses effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools and machinery setup.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate operational and safety information in English.
  • Demonstrates Respect, Teamwork, Accountability, and Determination.
  • Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present.

Education and Experience:

  • 1 or more years of previous experience in a warehouse setting as a receiver, in inventory control, or as a forklift operator, AND High school diploma or equivalent; OR Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a forklift certification.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently requires the ability to lift and stack products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Position may require standing for long periods of time.
  • Position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Work Environment: The primary work environment for this position is within a warehouse setting. Employees will be exposed to common food allergens.
