We are seeking a trustworthy, energetic, and experienced Keyholder to join our team. As a Keyholder, you are the trusted "manager on duty" during early mornings or weekends. You will be responsible for opening and closing the coffee shop, managing security protocols, cash handling, and leading the team to deliver exceptional service and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening/Closing Procedures: Safely open the coffee shop in the morning (turn off alarms, prepare tills, start espresso machines) and securely close in the evening (clean, count cash, drop deposits, secure doors/alarms).
  • Operational Leadership: Supervise baristas and floor staff during your shift, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, product quality, and customer service are maintained.
  • Cash Handling & Security: Accurately handle cash management, including till reconciliation, safe drops, and preparing bank deposits.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Act as the first point of contact for customer complaints or escalated issues, resolving them quickly and professionally.
  • Product Quality & Merchandising: Ensure consistent, high-quality coffee preparation and oversee the replenishment of pastries, retail merchandise, and cafe supplies.
  • Staff Training & Support: Assist in mentoring and training new baristas on operational systems, recipes, and company policies.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are followed, and report maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 12 years of experience as a barista or in a retail leadership role.
  • Reliability: Extremely trustworthy and punctual; able to work independently, especially when opening or closing.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic math for cash management.
  • Leadership: Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25-40 lbs (milk crates, bags of coffee).
